How to Make Money on Your Blog by Showing Adsense Ads

We can make money on our blog by showing Google Adsense ads. This is a basic guide on AdSense and integration of 3rd party ads.

What is AdSense? 

AdSense is a free-of-charge, simple way to earn money by displaying ads next to the online content. AdSense works by matching ads to your site based on your content and visitors.

Showing ads on your blog with Google AdSense

1. On the Blogger dashboard, click the blog you want to run ads on.
2. In the left menu, select Earnings > AdSense.
3. Sign up for AdSense, if you haven’t yet.
4. Select to use your existing Google Account or create a new one.
5. Complete the application form, review the information, then agree to terms and conditions.
6. Wait for your application to be approved.

Note: If you can't click the AdSense button in Blogger, review the AdSense eligibility checklist to find out why your blog doesn't qualify.

Show ads between your posts

1. On the Blogger dashboard, click the blog to control your ads.
2. In the left menu, click Layout.
3. In Blog Posts, click Edit.
4. In the window that appears, check "Show Ads Between Posts."
5. Set the ad format, colors, and how often ads should appear after your posts.
6. Click Save.

Manage your ads and earnings

To see your earnings report,

1. Sign in to Blogger
2. Select the blog.
3. Click Earnings
4. To manage other things about your ads, sign in to your AdSense account.

Show ads from other ad services

You can also make money with other advertising services.

1. On the Blogger dashboard, click the blog to show other ad services.
2. In the left menu, click Layout.
3. In the area to add the ads, click Add a gadget.
4. In the window that appears, under "Basic," add HTML/Javascript.
5. From the other ad service website, copy the code for the ad.
6. Back in Blogger, paste the code snippet under "Content.” Click Save.
7. To check if the ad appears, view your blog.
